Technical Designer
My main responsibility was character and combat design for the new DLC character, Casey Jones, guiding the process from initial concept to full implementation within our proprietary engine. By leveraging my expertise in both C++ and a specialized scripting language, I developed efficient and optimized gameplay scripts, fully utilizing the strengths of the engine.
Collaboration was central to my role, as I worked closely with teams in Narrative, Art, and Engineering, driving continuous feedback loops to refine gameplay systems and tools that supported team workflows and enhanced player experiences. I also played a pivotal role in crafting detailed documentation and communication tools, which facilitated onboarding, streamlined debugging, and accelerated iteration processes.
Additionally, I applied my experience with our proprietary engine to extend its capabilities and introduce developer-friendly features. By working directly with the engine development team, I ensured that new features aligned with our coding standards while improving the overall development process.
