FEArchitect is a sandbox for designing encounters in a GBA era tactics game, Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. The question it answers is “is this fight fun and fair?” before anything gets built into a real game.

The editor shows unit stats and weapons on one side and the fight math on the other, updating as you type. Save writes the changes back into plain JSON config files. On a grid map you can run a skirmish turn by turn, or let it auto play from a seed so the same setup always plays out the same way.

The combat formulas are ported from the community decompilation of the original game, including its two random number hit model and the speed difference needed to attack twice, with the source of each rule cited in the code. The preview is authoritative for pacing and difficulty only. Animations, menus and skill interactions are left to a real build, a later tier of the project.

The same set of operations is exposed three ways: a CLI, an MCP server so Claude can read, edit, preview and simulate in plain language, and a local bridge that does the same with a model running on your own machine through Ollama.
