Point Readmotion at a repo, a game, a program or a web page. It records real footage, then builds the media a good GitHub README is made of: a banner with your title and footage cycling in a glowing panel, a hero loop, one clip per feature, and sharp stills. Every clip on this page was made by the tool, from its own repo.

Recordings are scripted and repeatable. A Godot game runs at a fixed frame rate and a web page runs on a paused clock, so re-recording after a change gives the same shots. Save folders and settings are backed up before a capture and put back after, even when it fails.

It started as a Godot only tool for game READMEs and is now generic, with eight sources: Godot, web pages, Electron, any Chromium app, any program, video, image folders and terminal sessions. init reads a repo, works out what it is, and writes a starter config.

You can use it from the command line or from the app, which handles capture with a live log, a frame scrubber with marks and crop measuring, and a README preview and section editor. Version 2.3 builds into executables that need no Python.
