A wave based arcade space shooter built for phones first. Each themed mode has its own ship, weapons, music and look, and there is a hidden mode to find.
A seeded boss roster escalates on every loop, and the waves vary between straight fights, rescue waves, collectible waves and obstacle waves. Phones get several touch control schemes, from twin stick to slingshot and tilt, each with an in game how to card, and an animated encyclopedia introduces each enemy and hazard with hints the first time you meet it.
All of the art is drawn in code and all of the music and sound effects are generated by Python scripts. For the studio’s artist there is an art drop in slot manager, so finished art replaces the generated art piece by piece without code changes. It runs on the shared studio framework, with Snapser for accounts, leaderboards and cloud save.
