Tasked with creating an Inform 7 parser-based interactive fiction story, I teamed up with Mallory Strout to draft and create a game called Ozymandias, loosely based on the poem of the same name. Within our game, the player character uses typed actions to explore an expanse of desert with seemingly no purpose. However, their movements gradually reveal more and more of a buried city, and the history of its downfall along with it.
This project had me working in a new engine and focusing on how to create a mysterious narrative without having the player be too confused at each step.
